Siri 1 Bingkisan Ramadan | Cambodia

From Malaysia to Cambodia — A Dawah Endeavour That Never Ceases.

Today’s focus is on MyGuide Malaysia in Cambodia, coordinated by Dr. Safwan Saparudin.

Dr. Safwan Saparudin — Country Coordinator for MyGuide Malaysia in Cambodia — has dedicated his time and effort to ensuring that dawah and welfare efforts in Cambodia remain sustainable, well-organised, and truly effective at the grassroots level.

Through close collaboration with several local Islamic organisations, Dr. Safwan has mobilised various programmes that directly impact the lives of new Muslims (muallaf) and the local Muslim community:

  • Islamic Studies and Education — tarbiyah sessions, foundational fardhu ain classes, and Quranic guidance for new Muslims and the local Muslim community.

  • Food Contributions and Assistance — distribution of food to deserving asnaf and new Muslims, ensuring their basic needs are met.

  • Community Development — ukhuwah activities and ongoing support for new Muslims in their journey of Islam.

  • Strategic Networking — partnerships with local NGOs and Islamic associations to ensure broader and sustainable impact.

This is not a one-off programme. This is a long-term commitment.

MyGuide Malaysia believes that effective dawah requires consistent presence and trusted relationships — not merely occasional visits. This is precisely what Dr. Safwan and the MyGuide team in Cambodia are doing, day after day.

Target Areas: Phnom Penh, Kampot, Tbong Khmum, Sihanoukville.
