So What is Islam ?

Islam is defined as a voluntary act of “submission” or “surrender” to the Will of God. The term originates from the etymological root “salam,” which signifies tranquility or harmony.

According to the Qur’an, God states that the sole reason for creating humanity is to worship Him. Islam acknowledges that humans have the freedom to choose whether to obey or disobey God. However, in the afterlife, we shall be held responsible by God for the decisions we make during our lifetime.

Lets see what the pillars of faith are next.

THE SIX PILLARS OF FAITH

First Pillar

Belief in Allah

This pillar of Eman includes belief in Allah’s existence, His Names/Attributes, His Lordship and His right to be worshiped alone.

The Angels are a creation of Allah who worship Him. They differ from humans and jinn in that they have no free will. Their job is to obey Allah in every command.
